CableMate Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 22, 2026
1. Personal Data We Collect
None. CableMate does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. There is no registration and no user profile of any kind.
2. What Is Stored on Your Device
Only two things, and both stay inside the app's private storage on your phone:
- Calculations you explicitly tap Save on — the load, length, cable type, and recommended size.
- Your app preferences — light or dark theme, and whether AWG equivalents are shown.
This data never leaves the device. It is not backed up to any service by CableMate, and no other app can read it. Deleting CableMate deletes all of it.
3. Internet and Network Use
CableMate works fully offline. It does not request the internet permission, does not open network connections, and does not upload or download anything while you use it. The reference tables are compiled into the app itself.
4. Advertising and Analytics
There are no adverts, no advertising identifiers, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party code that profiles you. Nobody is paying for your data because there is no data to sell.
5. Permissions We Request
CableMate requests no runtime permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, location, storage, contacts, or any other protected capability on your phone.
6. Your Control Over Your Data
Because everything is local, you are always in full control. Delete a single saved calculation from the Home screen, or wipe every saved calculation and preference with the Erase button inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes everything with no residue.
7. Children
CableMate is a professional tool for electrical work. It is not directed at children and, since it collects no data at all, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age.
8. Changes to This Policy
If the app ever gains a feature that changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the effective date at the top will change before that feature ships. The policy always travels inside the app, so the version you are reading matches the version you are running.

Engineering Disclaimer
CableMate is a calculation and reference tool intended to assist electrical work. Always verify results against applicable electrical codes, manufacturer specifications, and professional judgment before installation or design decisions.
Erase Local Data
You can delete saved calculations and reset preferences using the Erase option inside the app. Uninstalling CableMate also removes all locally stored data.
